The Second Prize winner in the Horrible and Trades Parade, Old Home Week at the Head of Westport, August 23-28, 1908, was awarded to Frank Macomber driving a pair of bay horses attached to his wood saw wagon; and Charles Reckards, the village blacksmith, whose blacksmith shop including bellows, anvil, hammers, and a forge was set up in the wagon with the saw. Macomber and Reckards shared second prize -- $4.00.
