Bald Hill Road is now Horseneck Road running east-west from South Westport into Dartmouth. To the left of the horse and buggy in the foreground is a small pond with an outlet running beneath the road. The large home to the right background is the Gifford Farmstead in which Gifford descendants have lived since the 1600s.
