102.JPG

The Westport Point Market was operated as a general store and post office in the early 1900s by the Tripp brothers, Alfred, Albert, and Herbert. Two other markets on the opposite side of Main Road from the Point Market were run by William Gifford and Edward Howland. The location of the post office alternated every four years between the Tripps and Giffords. The Point Market building presently houses professional offices and apartments.
