Westport Birthday Party Saturday June 30th – Become a Sponsor!

Westport Historical Society is excited to share its plans for the upcoming Westport Town Birthday Celebration. This fundraising party will be held on Saturday June 30th, in honor of the 220th anniversary of the Town’s incorporation. This event will help the Society continue its role as a steward and communicator of local history.

The party will be an afternoon of great traditional food and lively music at the Town Landing at the Head of Westport including a pig roast by Smoke and Pickles, music by The Back Eddy Bluegrass Band, and of course a stunning array of birthday cakes sponsored by local businesses, displaying a message of their choice. At the same time it will kick off the opening of the 2007 summer exhibition: “Treasures and Traditions: A Portrait of Westport’s Past,” a look at the changing everyday lives of Westporters over the centuries.

Sponsorship opportunities for local businesses
We invite you to support our event by sponsoring a birthday cake specially created for this event! We hope that as a member of Westport’s business community, you will recognize the intrinsic value that a vibrant local cultural institution adds to the local economy by becoming a sponsor. Suggested sponsorship levels are: Founder: $1,000; Incorporator: $500; Settler: $250; Resident: $100. Westport Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all contributions are tax deductible. Event literature (birthday party invitations, event programs and flyers) and media coverage will acknowledge your contribution. Sponsorship details:
As a Founder ($1000) I will sponsor a 28” x 18” cake. My birthday message will be displayed on the cake and will appear in the event program. I will receive two complimentary tickets for the party.

As an Incorporator ($500) I will sponsor a 19” x 14” cake. My birthday message will be displayed on the cake and will appear in the event program.

As a Settler ($250)I will sponsor a 13” x 9” cake. My birthday message will appear in the event program.

As a Resident ($100) I will contribute towards the spectacular collection of cakes and my birthday message will appear in the event program.
